Geoffrey Smith has just written to me... He tells me BBC Music Magazine is publishing a 208-page special publication by him about jazz. The publishers are calling it a "bookazine." Whatever. It goes on sale in UK branches of WH Smith tomorrow Sept 6th.
100 Jazz Legends costs £7.99. If WH Smith is a trek, then a copy can be ordered by calling 0844 844 0252 (or outside the UK +44 1795 414 719) and quote the memorable code MBZ11WB1 - why can't these wazzocks make things simple? - There is a charge for P + P.
It will be interesting to see who makes the cut into Geoffrey's 100.....From the cover it looks like Dexter Gordon made it.
