Birmingham City University invited me to talk about LondonJazz in a session on Jazz and Social Media at the mac Arts Centre in Edgbaston yesterday. It was part of the Harmonic Festival.
Andrew Dubber spoke first, then me. Then a discussion ensued, animated by Tim Wall. Peter Bacon was live-blogging, and has written it all up: Andrew Dubber's presentation, and mine .
I think the main conclusion to draw is that this stuff, and the way we interact with it, is evolving too fast to draw conclusions.
