Chris Biscoe writes to sadly inform friends of the passing of Way Out West audience stalwart, photographer Peter Symes:
Peter Symes - photographer, raconteur, follower of the visual arts and tireless chinwagger, who supported jazz in all its many forms since the 1950s, sadly died on Wednesday.
He had prostate cancer and in the last year suffered setbacks which curtailed his activities, but until the latter part of last week his spirit was undimmed. He then experienced a sudden and catastrophic decline.
Information about funeral arrangements will be posted as and when it is received.
