A key figure in British music, trumpeter Henry Lowther, is 70 today. We will have a report on last night's birthday concert at the Vortex later, but today is a day just to celebrate all that this generous-hearted, massive musician has given us. Who needs autotuning, patching or tricks?  Bah.
