The poet John Betjeman wrote:
"Oh the after-tram-ride quiet, when we heard a mile beyond,
Silver music from the bandstand, barking dogs by Highgate Pond."
A blogger is honoured, and also slightly daunted, to be playing baritone sax in the Willie Garnett Big Band. We're playing a "Sinatra Under the Stars" concert at Parliament Hill Fields Bandstand tomorrow night from 7pm. Here's the listing.
